15 Characters + 2 Expendable Characters
The Golden Coconut Awards is a tropical murder mystery game inspired by the sun-soaked drama of White Lotus — a White Lotus inspired murder mystery game set at the most glamorous, chaotic and deliciously scandalous awards ceremony of the year. Reality TV fame, tropical resort life, and influencer drama collide at the fictional Golden Coconut Awards: a glitzy beachfront ceremony honouring the top echelons of the hospitality industry, with a showcase of the world’s finest cuisine, exceptional cuvée, and global entertainment sensations.
The evening promises glitz, glamour, and carefully curated Instagram moments. What it delivers is murder.
The eccentric awards host ends up dead, and suddenly the champagne tastes a little less celebratory. With tensions bubbling beneath the surface and rivalries ripe for the picking, every guest has something to hide and everything to lose. Did the murder stem from a family business feud, a behind-the-scenes betrayal, or a desperate grab for the spotlight? As suspicions rise, it’s up to the guests to untangle the web of deceit before the final award is handed out.
“The Murder Mystery Dinner was an excellently organized event by our wonderful host, Lisa. It is exciting and fun to do with friends, colleagues and family members or even an interesting way to meet new people in a safe and classy environment. If you’re up for loads of endless laughter, good memories and new friendships then I would definitely recommend this as a must-do experience!” – Sandra Pow Chong
This is not a passive experience. Every guest arrives as a character with a backstory, a secret, and a motive — and the drama begins the moment they step onto the red carpet. Each player must uncover others’ clues while carefully guarding their own secrets. Expect diva tantrums, fake tears, and surprise twists as alliances form, accusations fly, and the mystery deepens. The beauty of this game is that the chaos unfolds from your guests, not from a script — the more they commit to their characters, the more outrageously entertaining the evening becomes. Only one person walks away with the truth — unless someone guesses the murderer first.
The game caters to 15–17 guests (a minimum of 10 females and 5 males) with an optional 2 expendable roles for slightly larger parties.
The fully designed printable kit includes everything you need to host a seamless evening: Invitations to set the scene before the night, Character Descriptions so every guest arrives in character, Clue Cards to drive the investigation, Name Tags and Place Cards for the table, the Host’s Timeline to keep the evening on track, one Dramatic Discovery Note to deliver the story’s key twist, and a WhatsApp text message instructing guests on how this largely improvised game works — sent in advance so everyone arrives ready to play.
Please note: For the best experience, use all main characters with secrets. Expendable roles may be added at your discretion. We recommend keeping your total guest numbers to an absolute maximum of 24 for the best experience.
